Personas – Troove

Challenge
Our team was challenged to develop a propriety college matching application based on an entrepreneur’s experience and vision. To help guide us in the formation of this new application and to keep the target population in mind, personas were identified as a project requirement.  

Approach
After brainstorming meetings and reviewing target population interviews, we identified four different student profiles for persona development. I developed all four student personas and made slight modifications based on client feedback. On the second review, the personas were approved by the client and product team. 

Insights
Personas help to ensure user goals and needs are met in the design and functionality of an application. Personas also help to create empathy for individual users when designing and developing a product. If granted more time, I would have conducted surveys and additional interviews to better hone the persona types.
