User Portal – Cold Hollow

Challenge
Develop an easy to use user portal for the Cold Hollow to Canada organization, which tracks wildlife movement using volunteers. The admins requested an interface that allowed the volunteers and their team leads to view their contact information, upload images, and submit/view route and sign information.

Approach
After reviewing the specifications generated by the SME and the Cold Hollow to Canada administrator, sketches were conducted to assist with UI components and information architecture. These sketches were then developed into high-fidelity wireframes and presented to the SME and client. Based on feedback, minor modifications were then made to the wireframes based on feedback.

Insights
Using a tab-like structure we were able to provide an easy-to-use interface and allow the user to access several types of information without leaving the page or scrolling. The use of color and font size/weight allowed us to provide better usability and information architecture.
